Young woman finds passion, purpose, & innovation in dairy

Virginia Tech’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is helping to show how some of its recent women graduates are making a big impact on farming operations and on their communities. One of them, Laura Flory, who was a dairy science major in the class of 2009, helped to implement robotic milkers on her family’s 800-acre dairy, growing the number of cows while reducing labor needs.
Her video here is just one piece of a larger celebration of Women in Farming.
