PBR Bonner Bolton opens up about tragic bull ride on DWTS

#ICYMI Monday night’s episode of Dancing with the Stars, PBR star Bonner Bolton had the chance to reflect on his tragic bull-riding injury fifteen months ago and how he was given a 1 percent chance of ever walking again.

In the Professional Bull Riders’ Built Ford Tough Series season opener in Chicago on January 10, 2016, Bolton had been leading the event before coming off his bull out of control, splitting his C-2 vertebra. Bolton was temporarily paralyzed.

However beginning with spinal fusion surgery, the 29-year-old from Odessa, Texas beat the odds and made a remarkable recovery from walking again to dancing on Season 24 of DWTS.

As Bolton says, “I’ve got all the reason in the world to dance, so I’m gonna give it that good old cowboy try.”
