“Oklahoma!,” based on a 1931 play called “Green Grow the Lilacs,” is an absolute musical classic. The musical tells the story of romance in farm country and was first performed in 1943. That’s a long time ago — long before computers, the interwebs, and smartphones were at everyone’s fingertips.
Whitney Avalon — an actor, singer, writer, and producer — has given “Oklahoma!” a 21st century upgrade, bringing it into the digital age with this hilarious sendup. You gotta watch!
