For most farmers and ranchers, farming is more than just a career, it is a lifestyle. The Plowman family from Iowa is a great example of a family farm that has been passed down from generation to generation.
According to the Iowa Beef Council, “Incorporating their farm is a way the Plowman’s feel will keep their family farm viable in the future. The partners are all family working together toward common goals. Passing the farm to future generations and sharing it with the soon to be sixth generation is an exciting opportunity for the Plowman’s.”
“My vision of the future is to have my farming operation successful enough that if my sons want to take over and be sixth generation farmers, they have that opportunity,” said Cale Plowman.
