This season, Dan Wheeling was diagnosed with pneumonia and a fractured back, due to a recent fall, and had to figure out a plan for harvest since he had four different commodities. That is where family, neighbors, and Farm Rescue stepped up to help.
“Especially with farmers. You know they don’t want the help, but they need it, and it’s so awesome to help people who really aren’t asking for it. I’m so proud to help Dan and Aimee,” said Levi Wielenga, Farm Rescue operations manager.
Farm Rescue is in six states and has helped 600 farm and ranch families in the last 13 years.
