They did it all for the cheese. The Cooper’s Hill Cheese-Rolling and Wake is an annual spring event held near Gloucester, England. Traditionally a local event for the village of Brockworth; people from all over the world take part now. The event proves … people will do anything for cheese … including hurtling down a 70-degree hill.
With the USDA’s offer this week to purchase $20 million of cheddar cheese to reduce a private cheese surplus that has reached record levels, maybe they could consider donating a wheel or two for a cheese chase?
