A Southerner trying to ditch the accent — it’s not easy!

We know a little something about what it’s like to have a Southern accent in the same household as a Midwestern accent (if Midwesterners could be even considered to have an accent). So when Stephanie Shadrick’s husband took a stab at the simple sentence, “The dog licked the oil, and everyone laughed,” without his typical Southern accent, the results were hilarious.
Is the word “oil” pronounced “ol” or “oy-el”? You be the judge!
