Firestone’s Rooted in Farming contest extended

Published:

There is a time to plant. A time to harvest. And a time to write. This is the time to write. For the past 75 years, Firestone Ag has partnered with the National FFA Organization in their mission to support the farm families of America. After such a long-standing relationship, we’d love to hear what this has meant to you and your family. By telling your story through the Rooted in Farming contest, Firestone will contribute $75 to the National FFA Foundation for every essay submission.

Harvey Firestone, founder of Firestone Ag, extended his love of agriculture to his son, Leonard, who served as the first chairman of FFA’s corporate governance board. To recognize the role family plays in agriculture, and in the spirit of its founder, Firestone Ag is celebrating FFA with the Rooted in Farming contest: FFA members are encouraged to share their family’s personal history in farming and how their involvement in FFA has helped pave the way for future generations of farmers.

The winner of the Rooted in Farming contest will receive a new set of Firestone Ag tires (up to a $2,500 value). Additionally, Firestone Ag will contribute $75 (up to $100,000 total) to the National FFA Foundation for every submission received.
