BOGS, the footwear brand known for innovative materials and original prints, announced a national partnership with 4-H. With roots in agriculture, BOGS’ collaboration with 4-H is not only a natural fit, but also provides the brand and its customers the opportunity to broaden its support of outdoor education through a donation program. (Update: The BOGS 4-H boots were released July 9 and are available here.)
When BOGS reached out to us at AGDAILY and introduced this partnership — and as a former clover kid myself — I wanted to test drive these new boots! What happens when you can give back to an organization that does so much for the youth and you get a new pair of boots? Magic — that is what happens.
When I tell you I have never had a better pair of waterproof boots, I am 100 percent serious. Previous boots I have owned are either uncomfortable to work in after a long day, or don’t hold up well. Although I haven’t had the boots too long, I have really tested the material in that time frame. Like most on Memorial Day, I tried to amp up my landscape which includes pulling out bushes, digging out my old landscape, and putting in new. And I had the perfect working buddy — my new BOGS 4-H boots.
For about eight hours straight I wore the boots with ankle socks on. When I stepped outside and realized what I had done, I didn’t think the socks were going to last long — boy, was I wrong. Even with short socks, the boots were comfortable all day. Since then, I have continued to do farm chores in them. I am that rare breed that wears shorts and boots on the farm (don’t come for me in the comments) and these are the first pair of boots where I felt comfortable to do that for the long haul. But don’t just take my word for it.
