CattleCon Beef It Up contest and internships are open

The 2025 Cattle Industry Convention & NCBA Trade Show will take place in San Antonio, Texas, from February 4 to 6. Leading up to the convention, opportunities are open for aspiring chefs and influencers. 


Beef It Up recipe contest

Show off your culinary creativity in the second annual Beef It Up Recipe Contest. Winning recipes will be showcased during CattleCon 2025 as the Welcome Reception appetizer or a Trade Show lunch.

Here’s what can be entered:

  • Any cuisine Welcome Reception Appetizer (Must use ground beef, flank steak, or top sirloin)
  • BBQ, Mexican, Tex-Mex inspired Wednesday Lunch (Must use ground beef or chuck roast)
  • BBQ, Mexican, Tex-Mex inspired Thursday Lunch (Must use ground beef or chuck roast)

Each recipe must use ten ingredients or less, not counting beef, salt, and pepper.

The winner of each category will receive:

  • Registration for themselves and a guest
  • Recipe featured at CattleCon and used by the official convention caterer
  • Recipe Highlighted in the onsite program (Beef Resource Guide)
  • Recipe promoted on social media and on CattleCon website
  • Recipe featured on post event issue of National Catlemen
  • Recipe highlighted on Cattlemen to Cattlemen

Entries are due by June 14 online


CattleCon influencers

A CattleCon Influencer is an extension of the NCBA Meetings & Events Team. The job of a CattleCon Influencer is to promote, advocate, and encourage attendance for CattleCon in San Antonio, Texas, February 4-6, 2025. Applications to join the 2025 CattleCon Influencer Team will open on May 1.

Here’s what influencers can win:

  • Selected Influencers will receive a complimentary CattleCon 2025 Registration
  • A travel credit of up to $500
  • A complimentary hotel room from February 4 – 6, 2025
  • The opportunity to network with members and producers of the cattle industry
  • Improve your social media skills
  • Become an extension of the NCBA Meetings & Events Team
