Dozens of corn mazes celebrate 75 years with Peanuts

Published:

Kicking off the fall festivities for the upcoming 75th anniversary of Charles Schulz’s Peanuts, Peanuts Worldwide is celebrating with a special event: “Happiness is … a corn maze!” This year, farms across North America will feature unique Peanuts-themed mazes, drawing fans and families alike into the world of Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the gang.

More than 75 farms in the U.S. and Canada have been selected by Peanuts Worldwide to create these custom-designed mazes, with the help of The MAiZE Inc., the world’s largest corn maze consulting company. Spanning 35 states and provinces — from California to New York, Ontario to Texas — these farms are expected to welcome over 2 million visitors.

Each farm will grow its own unique maze, with designs ranging in size from 1.5 to 20 acres. Some mazes are even crafted from sunflowers. The themes are a celebration of 75 years of Peanuts, featuring iconic scenes like Snoopy atop his famous doghouse, Snoopy frolicking in a field of sunflowers, Snoopy with a giant pumpkin, and Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Linus, and Woodstock in a pumpkin patch. There’s even a maze with the theme “Snoopy 4 Prez!”

“For 75 years, Peanuts has charmed, delighted, and moved fans through my father’s creativity and wit,” said Jill Schulz, daughter of Charles Schulz. “What a wonderful, larger-than-life way to celebrate his work than with the ingenuity of these Peanuts corn mazes! It will be a thrill to see Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the gang rising from the heartland. I just wish my dad could see his creations ‘writ large.’”

Brett Herbst, founder of The MAiZE Inc., added, “After the tremendous success of our first collaboration in 2016, when millions of visitors in communities around the world visited Peanuts-themed corn mazes, it’s a privilege and a delight to once again collaborate with Peanuts Worldwide in honor of their 75 years. We salute the genius of Charles Schulz and couldn’t be happier to celebrate this milestone by bringing families together to create new and lasting memories.”
