Celebrating the best corn mazes of 2020

Published:

It is officially fall! While to many farmers that means the hustle and bustle of harvest, it also means pumpkins, scary movies, Halloween, cool air, and the best corn mazes! Some of my favorite fall memories includes going to the local fall festival and checking out the fresh pumpkins, interactive petting zoo, and trying to see who could get through the corn maze the fastest.

With a little bit of technology and a whole lot of creativity, corn mazes have turned into a way of recognizing current events, remembering history, and celebrating what means the most to us. While 2020 has been a … unique year, there is still a lot to celebrate. Many farms are celebrating the courage of front line workers who stepped up in a big way during this pandemic.

While 2020 corn mazes and their businesses might look a little different, there is still a lot of fun to have, while also staying safe. Check out the best corn mazes of 2020 below.

The first corn maze celebrates the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. While 2020 did have a lot of complications, taking time to slow down really helped our world.

One Michigan farm celebrated 2020 with the perfect summary — we are stronger together. On their website, the Gull Meadow Farms says, “When we can choose to be kind and support one another, regardless of our differences, then we truly are….Stronger Together.”

While it seems like an eternity ago, the 2020 Super Bowl champions — the Kansas City Chiefs — are still receiving the love and recognition they deserve this fall.

Wheeler Farms celebrates Hometown Heros in their maze. In a Facebook post, Wheeler Farms said, “Our design theme for 2020 features our Hometown Heroes. We are so thankful for our local Healthcare Workers that keep us safe and healthy, our Teachers that continue to care and educate our children and Delivery Services that keep our country moving during these challenging times. We can’t THANK YOU enough!”

The Andelin Family Farm also dedicated their maze to healthcare workers. “Our 2020 theme is Healthcare Heroes and we recognize all the healthcare workers and their significant contributions during the 2020 year. Healthcare workers can get $2 off admission to the corn maze this year as a thank you!”

Finally, who could forget that 2020 is an election year. A farm in Kentucky shows their support by dedicating their corn maze to President Donald Trump.
