Case IH and New Holland Agriculture employees now have the opportunity to get back into FFA thanks to a new CNH Industrial FFA Alumni Chapter. Through the Alumni Chapter company employees will work to develop students’ agricultural education and supply them with information on career options in the agriculture industry.
As a corporate sustainability leader, volunteer work and charitable donations are key aspects of CNH Industrial’s community involvement in North America. The Company’s commitment to increasing food security and reducing food scarcity is the cornerstone of the relationship with The National FFA Organization, formerly known as Future Farmers of America.
“I am proud and excited that our company has elected to create an Affiliate FFA Alumni Chapter,” said Bret Lieberman, Vice President for New Holland North America. “It provides another way for our employees to show our commitment to FFA and agricultural education, and I am looking forward to seeing what we are able to accomplish together on behalf of FFA.”
“Case IH has a long history of supporting the National FFA Organization. We are honored to add an Affiliate FFA Alumni Chapter to the resources we use to engage with students interested in the agriculture industry,” said Jim Walker, Vice President for Case IH Agriculture.
FFA, along with the U.S. Education Department, supports and develops agriculture education programs and materials to prepare its student members for agricultural industry careers including agribusiness, agri-marking, science, communications, education, horticulture, production, natural resources, and forestry.
The CNH Industrial Alumni chapter will build on the Company’s existing relationship with the National FFA Organization. Case IH and New Holland, along with CNH Industrial Capital, donated $300,000 to the FFA organization in 2017. Case IH was also a 2017 sponsor of the FFA Organization’s “New Century Farmer” conference, a five-day event designed to help students develop careers in production agriculture.
“We are thankful for the leadership from CNH Industrial, in opening a new National FFA Alumni & Supporters chapter. These alumni chapters allow CNH Industrial staff to rally around nearby FFA chapters whether or not they were a former FFA member,” said Lori Randle, Senior Regional Director, National FFA Foundation. “This provides opportunities to assist students in their personal development and career goals.”
