Massey Ferguson debuts 9S tractor at Farm Progress Show

Published:

AGCO Corporation has introduced the Massey Ferguson 9S Series tractor to the North American market. The company says this new tractor series is engineered to meet farmers’ practical needs, prioritizing reliability and efficiency, while aiming to reduce overall ownership costs.

The MF 9S Series is making its debut this week at the 2024 Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa, from August 27 to 29.

The MF 9S Series is designed to serve as a versatile solution for various farming tasks, including planting, baling, and tillage. “This tractor is built by farmers, for farmers, to deliver dependable, efficient performance in the field,” said Brad Arnold, Vice President of Massey Ferguson North America.

Key features of the MF 9S Series include the powerful 8.4-liter AGCO Power engine, the advanced Dyna-VT transmission, and the Protect-U cab design. These elements work together to maximize power and efficiency, enabling farmers to meet the demands of their operations.

The tractor’s 90 GPM ECO pump is designed to deliver the necessary power to operate high-tech implements without compromising the tractor’s overall performance. This flexibility allows farmers to adapt to varying field conditions, optimizing operations while minimizing soil compaction and maximizing traction.

The MF 9S Series is also designed with cost savings in mind. Farmers using this tractor have reported up to a 15 percent reduction in fuel consumption, along with other fluid efficiencies, which contribute to lower operational costs and higher profitability. To further support farmers, Massey Ferguson includes its MF Care Pro service with every tractor, offering extended warranty options, guaranteed optimal performance, and reduced servicing time.

Operator comfort and ease of use are also central to the MF 9S Series. The Protect-U cab design provides industry-leading comfort and visibility, making long hours in the tractor more manageable. “We wanted to ensure that farmers have a tractor that not only performs exceptionally well but also provides a comfortable and efficient working environment,” Arnold added.
