Yesterday, the Supreme Court of the United States heard oral argument on NPCC v. Ross from a lawsuit challenging California’s Proposition 12, a law that bans the sale of pork from hogs that don’t meet the state’s production standards.

Tyson Foods plant worker Jason Wayne Barre was killed at a processing plant in Harmony, North Carolina, last Friday. On July 29, North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the 9-1-1 call after Bare was hit by a tractor-trailer rig backing up to the loading dock. After being struck by a truck driven by another Tyson worker, Gary Wayne Davidson of Statesville, Bare was pronounced dead at the scene.
