Every time Culver’s says “welcome to delicious,” they express their passion for fresh, wholesome food — for today and the future. The National FFA Organization shares the belief that teaching smart farming can ensure our future food supply. To show their support, Culver’s is once again hosting an essay contest through their Thank You Farmers Project. The deserving chapters will receive a monetary prize.
According to the Culver’s website, “FFA members, we understand how important it is for your chapters to have access to hands-on learning experiences. Your education is vital to your future and ours, which is why, through the Thank You Farmers Project, we’re rewarding funds to three FFA chapters to use toward agricultural education initiatives. The funds can be used to attend the National FFA Convention & Expo, Oct. 28-30, 2020, or for another educational project or event.”
The first place chapter will receive $7,500 to go towards National Convention, or other educational projects. The second place chapter will be awarded $5,000, with the third place chapter receiving $2,500.
To enter, submit an essay of 1,000 words or less responding to the following prompt by April 20, 2020, at 5 p.m. CST. Students must be active FFA members in the 2020-2021 school year to be eligible to enter this contest.

The Thank You Farmers project works to make sure that there continues to be enough good, wholesome food to feed our country’s growing population. Since 2013, Culver’s and their guests have helped make a difference by donating nearly $2 million to agricultural education programs, like FFA, that encourage smart farming — the advancements we need to produce a greater amount of food with the same resources.
