New Hampshire FFA teacher honored on morning show
Meet Deborah Stevens, an agricultural education teacher and FFA advisor at Sugar River Valley Regional Technical Center in Newport, New Hampshire. Stevens thought she was going on the Strahan, Sara & Keke show to highlight the horticulture program. Little did she know she was going to be honored for all of her hard work and dedication to her students and her community.
At the end of the interview Stevens is gifted $5,000 worth of food to go toward the food pantry she works with and $5,000 to make repairs to the school greenhouse from Barbara’s Wholesome Cereals.
“I am truly blessed to be here and do what I do every single day. I love my job,” said Stevens. “I am one of over 11,000 ag teachers in the United States — including Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. What we do every day is not just about growing things, but growing students.”
