We all know that Hollywood doesn’t always get it right. Normally, we take what it has to say with a grain of salt since most stars are so far removed from the agriculture industry. It is refreshing when we see someone with a big name — such as Chris Pratt — speak of his farming operation on social media for the world to see.
Chris Pratt — star of “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Parks and Rec,” and “Jurassic World,” to name a few — has a strong following. With 22.6 million followers on Instagram alone, every farm post put out by Pratt reaches many eyes. Some may say, “Who cares? He is just a celebrity.” However, the ag industry should be proud of every realistic piece of coverage it can get, no matter who it comes from.
He is so proud of the hard work on his farm, just like so many of us! Someone should tell him he can get featured on our Ag on Instagram page by using #agdaily (insert shameless plug here). Check out his spread. It is full of love for nature and his faith.
Passing down the love for Mother Nature from one generation to the next. Chris realizes that, using the wood to create meaningful pieces that will be put it to good use.
And don’t think that just because he is a celebrity he is without the haters. Check out this post.
One commentor said, “Murder a sentient being, just so you can be momentarily satisfied!? You’re clearly unaware of alternative options and a cruelty free way of eating. There is no humane way of killing someone that doesn’t want to die… especially those that can’t speak for themselves.”
And then there was this comment: “This is great! I know your getting a lot of hate for this, but as a vegetarian I think it’s great that you treat your animals with respect! That’s how the world should work. Vegans should spend their time shaming people who eat factory animals, not people like you.”
We still have so many opportunities to tell the world that ALL farmers work tirelessly to treat their animals humanely, not just the celebrities.
We are adding Chris Pratt to our list of pro-farmer celebrities. Celebrities, they are just like us, right? …
