Texas Rangers pitcher takes bull by the horns

Published:

A Texas Rangers pitcher that was out of commission after a bull charged at him at his ranch in Venezuela in December is back. The bull? No so lucky.

Martin Perez told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, “I killed him and I ate him. It was good meat. No more bull.”

During the charge, Perez broke his non-pitching elbow but still required surgery. He was expected to be on the mend for four months after surgery but threw five solid innings in his spring debut on Sunday. Perez said he’s ready for season opener.
