The 96th National FFA Convention & Expo wrapped up in Indianapolis on Nov. 4, serving as a time for members to gather and celebrate the future of agriculture. But this year, along with the National FFA Organization’s all-time record membership, the convention boasted record attendance.
All about growing the next set of leaders, the event offers students, advisors, and guests many opportunities to experience new and exciting updates in the agriculture industry. The National FFA Convention & Expo is a time-honored tradition where innovators and leaders of tomorrow come together to experience leadership opportunities, compete, and collaborate.
FFA members and guests from across the U.S., representing all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, attended the event.
Here’s a breakdown of the numbers at convention:
Living to Serve
- 2,640 FFA members served at 21 local nonprofits in the Indianapolis area.
- 6,000 sensory bottles and 406 sensory bags, which were made by 180 students and used 35 pounds of glitter, were donated to The Damar Foundation.
Personal and Professional Growth
- 96 student workshops and 36 teacher workshops were offered.
- 287 exhibitor booths were set up in the Expo Hall.
- 4,423 American FFA Degrees and 213 Honorary American FFA Degrees were awarded.
A Sea of Blue Jackets
- 120 hotels were used by FFA members throughout Indianapolis.
- 72,954 members, advisors, and guests were in attendance.
National FFA Officers elected
The National FFA Convention & Expo will occur in Indianapolis through at least 2033. Next year’s convention will be held Oct. 23 – 26, 2024
