These folks on social media can show you all about the Western lifestyle

Published:

The Western way of life has become a large trend within the past few years. So people have been drawn to understand it more and learn as much as possible — but of course with that, there can be myths. So it’s great to be able to find those directly involved to discover the truth of it all.

Below is a great list of people to follow on social media platforms that will show the nit and gritty truth about the Western lifestyle.

1.Dale Brisby

You may have heard the sayings “ridin’ bulls and punchin’ fools” or “ol’ son.” Well, those phrases are part of the way Dale Brisby made a name for himself. Starting with videos on YouTube of silly shenanigans, funny jokes, and showing what it is like behind the scenes of bull riding, he created a brand for himself. This would then lead to a clothing line, Rodeo Time, with all sorts of apparel of his sayings.

Follow him on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and his line here.

2.Fancy Lady Cowgirl

Stomping all over the stereotype of being a cowgirl, Courtenay Dehoff is putting a new definition to cowgirl. Her mission is to “empower women to live legendary lives through the unstoppable cowgirl spirit.” She shows you how to be a little fancy and a little ranchy and how being a cowgirl is not all about clothes you wear, but who you are inside. She is also part owner of the PBR (Professional Bull Riding) bucking bull, Top Dollar. She uses her platform to teach about the sport of bull riding and how well treated the bulls are.

Follow her Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and via her website.

3.Natlie Kovarik

From showing real life on the ranch with three kids to mythbusting about greenhouse gas emissions from cattle, Natalie is definitely someone you want to follow and learn from. She displays her daily routine items on the ranch and how she does it with her children to educate others about their way of life and its importance.

Follow her on Instagram, YouTube, and via her website, or listen to her podcast, Discover Ag, to “hear ag like you’ve never heard ag before.”

4.Converse Cowboy

Poster board and a black sharpie with some converse on. These items are signature to The Converse Cowboy (real name Mike Roberts) as he writes inspiring quotes and posts them on Instagram to motivate others.

He also has a YouTube channel and podcast where he sits down with others in the western industry to discuss mental mindset and more.

5.Wright Family

A family full of athletes. If you watch rodeo at all, you’ve heard about the “Wright brothers,” usually in blue. With numerous NFR gold buckles and other titles combined, this family has continued to show up in the rodeo world. The whole family promotes their way of life and shows the good and bad side of it.

You can shop their Doin’ it the Wright Way merch and follow Cody, ShaRee (Cody’s wife), Rusty, Morgan (Rusty’s wife), Ryder, Cheyenne (Ryder’s wife), Stetson, and Statler on Instagram.

6.Flint Rasmussen

Being the official entertainer for PBR since 1998, Flint Rasmussen has seen many wrecks and celebrations — and has learned a lot. He has taken his knowledge and sat down with others in the rodeo industry to talk about rules, regulations, how events work, and much more. He helps tell the important stories of cowgirls and cowboys while also teaching the public about rodeo events and how they are run.
