Satire: The celeb-backed milk alternative made of … wood

Parks and Recreation star Aubrey Plaza has released a video showcasing her game-changing product to compete in the milk industry: wood milk.

Plaza describes wood milk as the world’s first and only milk made from wood. She says, “It started with a simple idea: I saw a tree and asked myself, ‘Can I drink this?'” As many of us can imagine, that’s gotta be how the origin of something like almond milk also came about.

Rest assured, too, that all of Wood Milk Orchards’ trees are eco-friendly, artisanal, and free range.

Of course, all of this is a joke — satire at its best from the “got milk?” campaign. Too often, we see celebrities peddling phony products and hyping “health halo” buzzwords, so it’s actually pretty cool to see someone of Plaza’s stature poke fun at the recurring ridiculousness of Hollywood.

We absolutely love the ending: “Only real milk is real!”
