It’s always exciting when a new Cooper Alan video comes across my social media feed. The parody clips from the North Carolina native are sure to entertain and, oftentimes, make you literally laugh out loud.
If you’re not yet familiar with Alan, that should change right now! He has made a massive splash on YouTube in just a couple of years (he joined the platform in 2019) — not only has he used the YouTube Shorts format to his advantage, but his vids do very well in places like Instagram too. As of this writing, the twenty-something’s YouTube channel has 523,000 subscribers, while he is edging close to 600,000 followers on Instagram.

It’s clear that Alan is a natural talent. When he left North Carolina, he turned the Music City into his home base.
In his bio, he says, “Currently, most nights you can find me playing in and around Nashville. Most days, I have the great privilege of writing songs with incredible co-writers like Rivers Rutherford, Gary Burr, Seth Mosley, Leslie Satcher, Will Robinson, Kent Blazy, Lee Thomas Miller, and of course, Victoria Shaw.”
While his parodies of Shania Twain’s classic or the AC/DC rocker put a smile on your face, Alan doesn’t just riff off other songs — he’s got a solid collection of originals as well.
